Reflective Supervision/Consultation (RSC) Learning Collaborative

October 2021 through June 2023

“Reflective supervision is a collaborative relationship for professional growth that improves program quality and practice by cherishing strengths and partnering around vulnerabilities.”

Rebecca Shahmoon-Shanok

Are you interested in learning more about providing RSC?  Have you been considering becoming a provider of RSC but aren’t sure if you are ready?  Are you a provider of RSC and are looking for more support and training to grow your practice?  If your answer is yes to any of these questions, this 18-month learning collaborative is for you!

The learning collaborative will include:

- Small cohort-based learning (maximum of 10 participants)

- Four full days of training about RSC over the course of 18 months

- Two hours of group RSC a month via Zoom with reflective consultant for a total of 36 hours (RSC hours may be used for Endorsement® applications and/or renewal)

Objectives:

Participants will:

  • Be able to describe the theoretical foundations underlying Reflective Supervision/Consultation (RSC)
  • Be able to articulate the most common and important elements of RSC, while also exploring the unique ways in which it is carried out in each relationship
  • Understand the impact of RSC on the infant/early childhood and family serving workforce
  • Have opportunities to think about the intersection of roles when one is a program and reflective supervisor
  • Explore the use of RSC as a strategy in furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion in direct practice and in systems
  • Share their work with the group and consultant in order to experience the reflective process in action
  • Practice listening, observation and reflective skills within the group reflective process
